Kenazer Publisher is committed to maintaining academic integrity and ensuring that all manuscripts published in our journals meet appropriate standards of originality and ethical scholarly conduct.
All submitted manuscripts may be screened for plagiarism and other forms of inappropriate text overlap before publication.
Plagiarism Screening
Manuscripts submitted to Kenazer Publisher may undergo plagiarism screening during the editorial process.
The screening process is intended to identify substantial similarities between the submitted manuscript and previously published or publicly available materials, including journal articles, conference papers, books, theses, dissertations, websites, and other scholarly or online sources.
Plagiarism screening may be conducted at different stages of the publication process, including during initial editorial assessment, peer review, revision, and before final publication.
Similarity and Plagiarism
A similarity score does not automatically indicate plagiarism. Legitimate similarities may occur because of commonly used terminology, references, quotations, methodological descriptions, standard phrases, or other appropriate forms of textual overlap.
The editorial team will therefore assess the context and nature of identified similarities rather than relying solely on a similarity percentage.
Where necessary, authors may be asked to provide clarification, revise the manuscript, properly acknowledge sources, or address other concerns identified during the screening process.
Forms of Plagiarism
Kenazer Publisher considers plagiarism to include, but not be limited to:
- Copying text or ideas from another source without appropriate attribution.
- Presenting another person's work or ideas as one's own.
- Using substantial portions of previously published material without proper acknowledgment.
- Improperly paraphrasing or reproducing another source without appropriate citation.
- Submitting substantially similar or identical content to more than one publication without appropriate disclosure.
- Reusing substantial portions of one's own previously published work without proper citation or disclosure (self-plagiarism).
Editorial Action
If substantial plagiarism or other forms of inappropriate text reuse are identified, the editorial team may take appropriate action depending on the nature and severity of the issue.
Possible actions may include:
- Requesting clarification from the authors.
- Requesting revision and proper citation of the source.
- Rejecting the manuscript.
- Suspending or discontinuing the editorial process.
- Retracting a published article where serious plagiarism is subsequently confirmed.
- Notifying the relevant institution or organization when appropriate and permitted by applicable policies or regulations.
The specific action taken will depend on the circumstances, the extent of the issue, and the stage of the publication process.
Author Responsibility
Authors are responsible for ensuring that their manuscripts are original and that all sources, quotations, ideas, data, and previously published materials are appropriately acknowledged and cited.
Authors should carefully review their manuscripts before submission to ensure compliance with accepted standards of academic integrity and publication ethics.
Submission of a manuscript to Kenazer Publisher constitutes an acknowledgment that the authors have made reasonable efforts to ensure the originality and proper attribution of the submitted work.
Previously Published Material
Authors must disclose any substantial overlap between the submitted manuscript and their previously published or submitted work.
If material from a previously published work is reused, appropriate citation, permission, or licensing requirements must be observed where applicable.
Screening Before Publication
Manuscripts that have been accepted for publication may undergo additional plagiarism or similarity screening before final publication.
If significant concerns are identified at this stage, publication may be delayed while the editorial team evaluates the issue and communicates with the authors.
Post-Publication Concerns
Concerns regarding plagiarism in a published article may be reported to the editorial office.
Reported concerns will be assessed based on the available evidence and in accordance with applicable publication ethics and editorial policies.
If plagiarism is confirmed after publication, Kenazer Publisher may issue a correction, expression of concern, retraction, or other appropriate notice depending on the circumstances.
Confidentiality
Information obtained during plagiarism screening and editorial investigation will be handled confidentially and shared only with individuals or organizations where reasonably necessary for the assessment and resolution of the matter, subject to applicable policies and laws.
Changes to This Policy
Kenazer Publisher may update this Screening for Plagiarism Policy from time to time to reflect changes in publishing practices, academic integrity standards, or applicable requirements.
The latest version of this policy will be published on this page with the updated effective date.
