Author Guidelines

Thank you for considering Clinical Learning in Nursing (CLN) for the publication of your research. Authors are encouraged to read these guidelines carefully before submitting their manuscripts. Compliance with these instructions will facilitate a smooth editorial and peer-review process.

1. Aims and Scope

Clinical Learning in Nursing publishes high-quality scholarly articles related to nursing education, clinical learning, evidence-based nursing practice, patient safety, simulation-based education, healthcare innovation, professional nursing development, and interdisciplinary healthcare research.

Please ensure that your manuscript falls within the journal's Aims and Scope before submission.

2. Types of Manuscripts

The journal accepts the following article types:

         Original Research Articles

         Systematic Reviews

         Scoping Reviews

         Narrative Reviews

         Clinical Reports

         Case Reports

         Educational Innovations

         Short Communications

         Letters to the Editor

3. Manuscript Language

All manuscripts must be written in English using clear, concise, and grammatically correct language.

Authors whose first language is not English are encouraged to have their manuscripts professionally proofread before submission.

4. Manuscript Preparation

Authors must prepare their manuscripts using the official Article Template provided by the journal.

The manuscript should include:

         Article Title

         Abstract

         Keywords

         Introduction

         Methods

         Results

         Discussion

         Conclusion

         References

Author information and declarations should not appear in the manuscript file. They should be submitted separately using the Title Page Template to support the journal's double-blind peer-review process.

5. Title Page

A separate Title Page must be uploaded containing:

         Full title of the manuscript

         Full names of all authors

         Institutional affiliations

         Corresponding author's contact information

         ORCID iD (recommended)

         Funding Statement

         Conflict of Interest Statement

         Author Contributions

         Ethical Approval (if applicable)

         Data Availability Statement

         AI Disclosure Statement (if applicable)

         Acknowledgments (optional)

6. Reporting Guidelines

Authors should follow internationally recognized reporting guidelines appropriate to their study design.

Examples include:

         CONSORT (Randomized Controlled Trials)

         STROBE (Observational Studies)

         PRISMA (Systematic Reviews)

         PRISMA-ScR (Scoping Reviews)

         COREQ / SRQR (Qualitative Research)

         CARE (Case Reports)

         SQUIRE (Quality Improvement Studies)

7. Reference Style

Clinical Learning in Nursing follows the APA 7th Edition citation style.

Authors are encouraged to:

         cite recent and relevant literature;

         include DOI numbers whenever available;

         use reference management software such as EndNote, Mendeley, or Zotero.

8. Ethical Requirements

Research involving human participants or animals must receive approval from an appropriate ethics committee.

Authors must provide ethical approval information where applicable.

All manuscripts will be screened for plagiarism before peer review.

9. Submission Requirements

Before submitting a manuscript, authors should ensure that they have prepared:

         Manuscript (without author identities)

         Title Page

         Submission Checklist

         Any supplementary files (if applicable)

10. Online Submission

All manuscripts must be submitted through the journal's Online Submission System (OJS).

Submissions by email will not be considered.

11. Peer Review Process

Every submission undergoes:

         Initial Editorial Assessment

         Double-Blind Peer Review

         Editorial Decision

         Copyediting

         Proofreading

         Final Publication

The Editor-in-Chief makes the final publication decision based on reviewers' recommendations.

12. Publication Fee

Clinical Learning in Nursing currently does not charge any fees for manuscript submission, peer review, editorial processing, or publication (No Article Processing Charge / APC).

13. Copyright and Licensing

Authors retain the copyright of their work.

Accepted articles are published under the journal's Open Access policy and distributed according to the journal's licensing policy.
