Reference Style

Clinical Learning in Nursing (CLN) uses the American Psychological Association (APA) 7th Edition referencing style for both in-text citations and the reference list.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that all references are complete, accurate, and formatted consistently according to APA 7th Edition.

General Requirements

Authors should ensure that:

References are relevant and directly support the manuscript.

At least 80% of references are from peer-reviewed journal articles.

Most references have been published within the last 10 years, unless citing seminal or landmark studies.

Every reference cited in the text appears in the reference list, and every reference in the list is cited in the text.

DOI numbers should be included whenever available.

References should be written in English. If citing non-English sources, indicate the original language where appropriate.
